Annual Mother’s Day Breakfast 2004

At its annual event, the men of the parish sponsored by the Young Men’s Society of Resurrection treated all parishioners to a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, toast, fruit cup, juice, coffee and cake. Before Mass all the mothers were presented with a carnation to commemorate the day.

A short program consisted of the men singing ‘M.O.T.H.E.R.’… “M is for the million…” while a YMS of R member handed out favors to all the mothers. A drawing followed awarding seven donated prizes plus the handmade centerpieces at each table. Rev. Robert Plichta then presented each mother with his token gift to show his appreciation.

A special gift was presented to Mrs. Florence Bulcavage by the YMS of R for her dedication to the event. Florence made the favors and centerpieces and helped with the planning of the event. With the help of her organizational skills, the YMS of R is able to make the event more memorable by changing the theme year to year.

The men enjoy doing this annually for the parish and everyone has a great time!
